Former Deputy Director, Serious Organised Crime Agency

Neil was Acting Commander for the Metropolitan Police over a career of 30 years, managing and leading several strategic portfolios and up to 600 investigators. He is a specialist in leading major investigations and intelligence collection at strategic level.

In 2003 he became a Director of an SME advising UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and large corporates as diverse as GSK, CISCO Systems and News International. He returned to public service in 2006 with the new Serious Organised Crime Agency as Deputy Director leading a Department (Human Intelligence). For his final year of service he became Chief Operating Officer of CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection).

When Neil retired from public service in 2011 he became a consultant to MPI (Holdings) Ltd, a commodities trading business, currently turning over in excess of £25 million pa and trading all over the world. He advises the Board of the Company on compliance and governance. He is also a management consultant to Bolney Wine Estate. In 2013 he then became the Chairman of Saunders Energy Ltd, a start-up business designing and manufacturing Tidal Turbines to generate electricity, and in May 2015 took up full Executive Chairmanship of the Company.

Since 2008 Neil has led STOP THE TRAFFIK's Human Trafficking intelligence development work and currently leads their Global Knowledge Centre Programme.
