Practice Lead for Governance and State Building at Crown Agents

Jo Kemp is the Practice Lead for Governance and State Building at Crown Agents. She has worked for a range of donors (UNICEF, DFAT, DFID and the World Bank), and brings practical budgeting experience from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. As head of the Policy, Budget and Statistics Division in Papua New Guinea, Jo was responsible for disseminating budget information to different audiences for four National Budgets. She has worked directly with CSOs, was the focal point for the CSO network facilitating dialogue between government and civil society and was project manager for a DFID Ethiopia civil society project. Most recently she was the Project Manager for a DFID-funded PFM programme in Nepal, and has worked in Somalia, India, Fiji, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
