Andrew is a development consultant with over 20 years' experience of helping organisations to build individual, team and organisational capability. Andrew's areas of expertise include leadership and talent development; strategy and policy development; culture change and change management; and performance management. He has also worked extensively on diversity programmes, team development, coaching and mentoring.

Much of Andrew's career was spent in the Civil Service, working for the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and its predecessor organisations (BERR - Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform/DTI - Department for Trade and Industry). Andrew also worked for the Ministry for Justice (MoJ) and, as an internal consultant, in many other UK government departments and organisations. Andrew also led a project to help the Romanian Government build capability in human resources and risk management and for several years led the team delivering induction training and strategy development workshops for UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) staff in the UK and around the world.

Andrew's experience includes working with a wide variety of professions including the legal profession, economists, statisticians, engineers and IT. In MoJ, Andrew worked to build capability, talent and performance among IT professionals, both in that ministry and across UK government departments.

During the last year, Andrew has worked on behalf of ICPS, with customers from the UK and overseas countries including: Estonia (Baltic Defence College); Egypt (SOFRECO/the Egyptian Energy Sector); Zambia; South Africa; Nigeria, Jordan; the Solomon Islands, Malaysia, St Kitts and Nevis and Belgium on: strategy and policy development; risk and regulation, management and leadership.

Organisational and people development has been a core element of much of Andrew's career, but he also has a wealth of experience in regional policy development and implementation, working with ministers and parliament, together with trade policy and promotion. He also worked with the UK's Engineering Council where he helped develop initiatives to promote engineering in schools and to develop a new engineering degree.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of both the Chartered Institute of Management and BCS and is MBTI and TMSDI accredited.
